All You is the Queen’s absolute favorite magazine for SO many reasons! I can learn tips for saving, cooking, exercising, decorating, fashion, and simply living. And oh did I mention that May’s issue has $76 worth of coupons in it?!?! And because you’re my wonderful money saving Lords and Ladies, you can get this wonderful magazine for only $0.75 an issue!!!! Hello?!?! If you don’t have a subscription yet, click the picture on the sidebar.
This month, the magazine gives some great tips for saving money with coupons. Here are the tips from page 17.
- Follow a coupon schedule. You can get the best deals on coupon websites such as smartsource.com and coupons.com [My note: You can print coupons from this site on my sidebar right now!] at the beginning of the month, when advertisers release them. If you find an amazing offer, print out two coupons, which is usually the limit.
- Visit drugstores online. Stores such as Walgreens and Rite Aid include coupons in their weekly ads – which they also post on their website. Download and print the coupons.
- Avoid rejection. Call ahead to find out if the store you’re heading to accepts coupons printed from the Web . . . If a clerk won’t accept the coupon, ask to speak to one of the store managers, they are usually reasonable and will give you the deal. [note: See this post on how to print coupons @ Target if they give you any trouble].
- Use paperless coupons. Check out shortcuts.com to see if your grocery store offers e-coupons, which you can download to the store’s discount card. Once you register your card, you can electronically transfer coupons to it. Then, when you go to the store and use your card at the checkout, the coupon’s value is automatically deducted from your total.
- Go straight to the source. If there’s an item you buy frequently, visit the manufacturer’s website to look for coupons. To get coupons from some sites, you have to give your e-mail address and sign up for the company’s e-newsletter.
Swap coupons. Trade coupons you don’t want for coupons on deals you do at thriftyfun.com
