So Good Morning America featured a segment on Saturday AM that they called “Free Nation.” If you’d like to see the report for yourself, simply click the video. One of the websites that they featured was called Swaptree (simply www.swaptree.com). You register, list items like books, DVDs, games, and music that you would like to rid yourself of and then list books, dvds, games, and music that you’d like to have and from what I can tell, it helps locate people who you can swap things with. All you pay is the postage. Pretty cool concept. I am trying to sell off a lot of our books on half.com that we probably won’t read or use again and am a HUGE fan of the public library. It’s a new stage in my development as I have had a book problem since well before college and my collection ha grown and grown and grown over the last 10 years. We have too many books, many I’m sure I’ll never crack open again. So I love the simplicity of this site that you can move books into new homes, get new things to read, and everyone is happy and only out a couple of bucks. If you’ve used Swaptree before or plan on using it in the future, leave a comment and let me know what you think.
